How will you celebrate StoryCorps’ National Day of Listening in November?

At LIFT-Philadelphia, we focus a lot of our attention on listening to the needs of others. We are a non-profit organization that aims to help community members achieve economic stability and well-being. We pair underserved individuals with trained volunteers, who work one-on-one together to find jobs, secure safe and stable housing, make ends meet through public benefits and tax credits, and obtain quality referrals for services like childcare and healthcare. In order to celebrate the National Day of Listening in November, we want to listen to the story of Philadelphia, by giving our clients and volunteers the opportunity to share their stories. LIFT is often the point of intersection for incredible and inspiring stories of community, and of hope, and we want to take the opportunity to honor LIFTers here in Philadelphia.

Who will you interview?

We plan to interview any LIFT Philadelphia clients, volunteers, and staff that feel comfortable sharing their story with us.
