How will you celebrate StoryCorps’ National Day of Listening in November?

I will listen to my father. I've had a very complex relationship with him. We've definitely had our ups and downs but I will always have love for my Papa. It is especially difficult these days to deal with him and be around him. He is a sixty-six year old man who is haunted by a lost love and memories he just can’t seem to shake. I’ve lived with him all twenty-four years of my life. Most of them loving him, some of them having so much hate. In spite of all that anger I carried around I’d never change how he brought me up or what he has taught me. He gave me life and I will dedicate my time documenting the rest of his.
